Fresher's Night Moi University

godfather

Leo mgenge mtrue (Nonini) anajitupa main campus for the fresher's jig going down at the student's centre. Wangapi leo watapata sausage funga? Ama wote u will be chips fungwad? Hehehee! That aside, kuna mse leo amenishow Fresher's night siku hizi has lost meaning. I wondered if it had meaning in the first place but later on nikaona anasema ukweli. Wait, did your dad or mama tell you, this was a jig once attended by at least the dean of students? Yea, for real ilikuwa a campus year opener not only for the freshmen but kila mse. But siku hizi most people who attend wanajikwachu dancefloor hadi they roll out. Later on, kama umejinyakulia ama umenyakuliwa u head to the confines of ua hostel room and God knows what goes on in there. For the 'unlucky' or 'inexperienced' ones, they will grace he dancefloor mostly inhabited by drunk dudes na wenye bado wanajaribu bahati yao on two or three ladies still dancing their hearts out....to no avail!
Anyway, let me take you through the program of Otiose, a first year in the school of information science:
Thursday (jana): He makes a call to the only other fresher chick(cheptarkwen) he knows enquiring of her availability for the Friday night jig who tells him she has a boyfie na maybe atakua…dejected, och gathers some few boyz of his to go buy tickos which they promptly get at 150/- being told by kesho zitakua 300/-!! Armed with the papers they go back plotting….chips funga…itakuaje?
Friday: classes bounce bt kuna ya 11am lazima he attends. He realy can’t wait for the jig n asks each n every  of his classmates kama watakua- most are +ve n gets the nod from one of the chics- “mi ntakua, nitafute!” he brims..anxious and excited. By 8pm jioni oak na jacket na maboiz heading to studie, stamped and get to the stairs lisening to the blaring noise(read ‘music’ to the entertainment heads)
Ntaendelea kesho…
